General Phone Instructions:
Setting Up Voicemail:
Dial 1700.
Press # when voice comes on.
Enter the 4 digit voice mail number.
Enter the passcode. The default passcode is 1111. A tutorial will walk you through setting up a new passcode and greeting.
Remote Access to Voicemail:
Call the district or school main number.
Press # when voice comes on.
Follow the prompts entering the voicemail number and passcode.
Getting Voicemail:
Dial 1700
Turn Off Voicemail Light:
Hit FEAT then # then 8 then voicemail button. Or try hitting MSG (or Flash) then hit * key twice.
How to Answer Second Call:
Put the first call on hold (hold/DND button), depress the plunger once to disconnect from first call. Press the key Flt to pick up second call. To disconnect from the second call either hang up or depress the plunger. Press Flt again to get the first call back.
Record a Call:
Our outgoing message at all buildings advises the caller that the conversation may be recorded for safety and security reasons. This is not an idle threat or bluff. Our voicemail system does have this functionality and it should only be used if you feel the caller is belligerent, threatening violence (to him or herself included) or in any other way a threat to the safety and security of the district's students and/or personnel.
The FLASH button on the office phone is the designated RECORD button. Once pressed, the conversation will be recorded to the voicemail box associated with that phone. The conversation can be retrieved by accessing your voicemail and can be saved and/or forwarded, as appropriate.
View Past Calls:
Only available on phones with caller ID screens
Press the Speaker button.
Press the Hold 3 button.
Press the * or # to go back and forth between the list of calls.
